Harold Braul was born in 1960 in southern Ontario.

His early introduction to art began at the age of 6 when he studied under the tutelage of a private teacher. To this day, he retains the childish fantasy that first attracted him to the medium. Brault draws his instant scenes from the imagination that has filtered through memory. While her work portrays the realities of everyday life, each figure and decor is evoked from the artist's inner vision of urban existence.
